Udupi, Oct 2: As a prelude to set right the confusion on NH66, Minister Oscar Fernandes, has said that he will be holding a meeting with department officials and elected representatives asking them to once again conduct inspection of affected places in Padubidri, Kaup and Katpady so that a technical solution can be arrived at.
He was speaking to reporters after receiving an appeal from local groups urging for a flyover at Kaup and an under pass at Katpady.
As traffic in both villages and towns is on the increase, acquisition of 60 meters of land may not be sufficient for the highway, he said.
There is a demand for flyover at Kaup, bypass at Padubidri and widening of road at Katpady. A decision will be arrived at in a discussion led by MP Jayaprakash Hegde, he said.
