One lakh laddus for Sonia's Mandya rally

Bangalore, Sep 29 (DHNS): The Congress party is making hectic preparations for the public rally to be addressed by AICC chief Sonia Gandhi in Mandya on September 30.

The preparations include putting up posters at public places from Kengeri to Mandya, mobilising more than a lakh people for the public rally, besides, distributing laddu and butter milk to the party workers.

The rally is being organised to thank the people of the State for voting the Congress to power and State party president G Parameshwara has placed an order for one lakh laddus to be distributed to those attending the rally.

Congress general secretary N S Bosa Raju said as many as 20 LCD monitors will be installed in the Visvesvaraya stadium, the venue for the rally. All the four Union ministers from Karnataka, AICC general secretary in-charge of Karnataka Digvijay Singh, and a host of MPs and MLAs, besides former Union minister S M Krishna will be present, he said.

Bosa Raju said Sonia will reach Mandya by a helicopter from the HAL airport, Bangalore, and will address the rally at 3 pm and leave for New Delhi before 4.30 pm. Digvijay Singh is arriving on Sunday night.

    His Laadus might be 'torn' and butter milk 'thrown away' as non sense considering the 'impromptu
    spirit' Rahulji is in....
    Entry into political rallies too should be without inducements...This is where 'bribery takes birth' at the outset.....

    This is bribing people to attend, if you are a leader with mass appeal then even though for an entry fee of Re: 10/- people will attend in multiple of lacs to listen you.

    Dear Organizer, Please Please stop this nonsence. Please provide a practical good governance. Initiate Eco Friendly development projects. I am not against any political parties. Congress should take note that people of Karnataka voted congress to power to provide Good governance and not for organizing political rallies. Gathering one lack peopleone should take note of Mandays lost both people and law makers, their expenses on our exchequere etc etc...Just to have a laddo and a thank you? Good work done by elected representatives surely inspire citizens to bring them again and not the rallys. Instead of organizing these huge rallies please do some thing for Middle Income Group as this group is worst hit. Please workout to sort out Power issue with eco freindly power projects such as wind & solar power . This day another huge rally going on in delhi by BJP. Why you need to organize rallies of this magnitude. Our security forces have other works to do. All political parties to note that Indian citizen is Intelligent now.
