Beltangady, Mar 3: In another ghastly accident in the taluk, a bike rider was killed on the spot after a bus rammed into his mobike near Bharat Iron Works at Ujire near here on Friday March 3 morning.
The deceased has been identified as Birman (28), a resident of Ujire. He was on his way to Dharmasthala from Ujire riding his mobike when a private bus going in the same direction rammed into his bike. The accident took place when the bus driver tried to overtake another vehicle. The bus hit Birman’s mobike from behind. As a result Birman fell on the road and died on the spot.
The Beltangady police have registered a case in this regard.
