Gurgaon, Sep 18 (IANS): A woman's brother-in-law, along with two others, was arrested Wednesday for murdering her while visiting a Sufi shrine here the day before, police said.
Pinki's brother-in-law Naveen, with whom she had been living for five years, Sunil alias Sunny and Sunil alias Kuttu were arrested for the killing from Gurgaon, police said.
The woman, a mother of three, was shot dead Tuesday while she was offering prayers in the shrine in Basai area, police said, adding that Naveen suspected her of infidelity.
"Pinki married Manjeet, a resident of village Dighal in Jhajjar district, in 2000. She was in a living-in relationship with Manjeet's younger brother Naveen," said Vivek Sharma, joint commissioner of police.
Naveen and Pinki were living in a rented accommodation in Basai area, under Rajendra Park police station, for the last two years.
"Naveen was suspicious of the woman's illicit relations with some one," Sharma said.
Naveen hatched the conspiracy to kill Pinki with the two men, police said.
The three accused have been sent to police custody by a court.
