Beijing, Sep 18 (IANS): A total of 21 suspects have been arrested from China and Taiwan in a joint raid against forced prostitution, the ministry of public security said Wednesday.
The suspects were part of a criminal ring that abducted women from China, took them to Taiwan and forced them into prostitution, Xinhua cited the ministry as saying.
Six women were rescued in the operation.
Of the suspects, 19 are from Taiwan and two are from the China.
The suspects began forcing women into prostitution in November 2012.
