Patna, Aug 30 (IANS): Indian Mujahideen co-founder Yasin Bhatkal was restless and spent a sleepless night at a high security zone here, officials said.
Yasin Bhatkal, wanted by police in twelve states for alleged involvement in a string of bombings and other terror activities in the last five years, was arrested from the India-Nepal border Thursday. He was arrested along with Asadullah Akhtar, his terror accomplice.
After they spent a sleepless night, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) sleuths early Friday interrogated Yasin Bhatkal and Asadullah Akhtar.
Both will be taken to Delhi by special plane after a Bihar court Thursday granted the NIA three-day transit remand, police officials said.
"Both of them hardly slept at night, talked rarely but they ate food and drank adequate water...," said a police official.
According to another police official, Bhatkal was more restless than Akhtar at night.
"A team of NIA officials interrogated Bhatkal and Akhtar at the high security Bihar Military Police camp in Patna since early Friday after they spent night here," a police official said.
He said that both were brought from Motihari in East Champaran district and they will be taken to Delhi.
