New Delhi, Aug 17 (IANS): Some parts of Delhi witnessed light, sporadic rain Saturday as the maximum temperature settled a notch below average at 32.6 degrees Celsius. The Met office has forecast more rain Sunday.
"The skies will be partly cloudy tomorrow (Sunday) and parts of the city will get rain," said an official of the India Metrological Department (IMD).
The maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 33 and 24 degrees Celsius.
The weatherman said the city received 0.2 mm rain from 8.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. Saturday. The minimum temperature settled three notches below average at 23.5 degrees Celsius, while the maximum and minimum humidity levels were 97 and 73 percent, respectively.
Since the monsoon's arrival in June, Delhi has received 592.6 mm of rain, 39 percent more than average.
Friday's maximum temperature was 30.5 degree Celsius, three notches below normal while the minimum was 24.5 degree Celsius, two notches below normal.
