Karkala: No clues to 8 missing girls even after three years

Karkala, Jul 24: “Eight girls who went missing three years ago in Udupi limits still remained untraced, with police being unable to find any clue whatsover,” informed state home minister K J George, during Vidhana Sabha session.

According to the information obtained by Karkala MLA V Sunil Kumar during question hour, in 2010 – 74, 2011 – 57, 2012 – 51, 2013 – 36 girls had gone missing.  No clues to 8 missing girls have been not found. The police are trying to trace them, he said.

Friends, relatives, colleagues, other people known to the missing people have been questioned. Detailed investigation has been carried out in cases where the person has left clues before going missing. In cases of missing school and college students, information has been collected from their respective school, college principal, teachers and their classmates.

In case of missing people who were employed, their information has been collected from their colleagues. Mobile number call records have been obtained and CDR analysis has been made, informed the home minister.
