Mangalore: Monsoon loses intensity in city

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangalore (SP)

Mangalore, Jun 4: On Monday June 3, rainfall appeared to be far less as compared to the previous day in both Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts. Although drizzle was experienced for several hours, rainwater did not gush through the roads and overflowed from drains as in the previous day. As such, people were able to attend to their daily chores without much problem.

Almost all the taluks including Beltangady and Bantwal recieved rains with gaps in between. Puttur, Sullia, Mangalore, Moodbidri etc experienced drizzle now and then. Cloudy weather continued to envelope the state’s coast.

The meteorological department has predicted normal to good rain in most parts of the state's coast and some portions in the hinterland. This prediction is valid till Wednesday morning.
