Mangalore: Father Muller takes over Thumbay hospital, inauguration on June 2

Mangalore, May 31: Father Muller Hospital at Thumbay in Bantwal, formerly B A Hospital, will be inaugurated on Sunday June 2 at 4 pm said Fr Richard Coelho, administrator of Father Muller Medical College and Hospital.
Addressing a press meet here on Friday May 31, Fr Coelho said "The management of Father Muller is extremely pleased to inform that BA Hospital at Thumbay with a capacity of 100 beds has been taken over by Father Muller Charitable Institutions, Kankanady at a cost of Rs 18 crore and has been functioning under the new management since May 1’.
Briefing about the new venture, he said the hospital is fully equipped with state-of-the art equipment and has a full-fledged operation theatre, labour theatre and will also function with various facilities like general medicine, orthopedics, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, ENT, ophthalmology, dental clinic, post-operative ward, physiotherapy, ICU ventilator and central oxygen facility, fully equipped medical lab, ultra sound, homeopathy, color Doppler with echo, electro cardiography, electro cardiography and treadmill, X-ray, 24-hour medical store, 24-hour ambulance service, mortuary and so on.
Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore will preside over the inaugural function, B Ramanath Rai, minister for forest, ecology and environment will be the chief guest while U T Khadar, minister for health, MLA J R Lobo, B Ahmed Haji Mohiudeen, founder and chairman of BA Group, Thumbay will be the guests of honour, said Fr Richard Coelho.
Fr Rudolph D’Sa, administrator, FMCI, Dr Sanjeev Rai, chief medical services officer among others were present.
