Mangalore: Cement mixer truck topples, lucky escape for driver

Mangalore, May 30: In an incident that took place in the wee hours of Thursday May 30, a cement mixer truck toppled near Natekal curve road after the driver lost control.
The accident occured at around 3 am.
Though the truck was badly smashed, the driver had a lucky escape as he sustained only minor injuries
It is said that the truck was plying from Mangaore city to Infosys, Konaje.
A case has been registered in Konaje police station.
In another incident, a truck moving on NH 66 got stuck in between the half-constructed road near Kallapu in Thokottu.
Due to the rain over the past few days, water had accumulated in the gap between the two roads which resulted in this incident.
The situation might turn worse on this road during heavy rains if officials concerned do not take immediate measures, said locals.
