Bangalore: CET results announced, Medha Rao bags second rank in medical

Bangalore, May 28: The results of Karnataka Common Entrance Test (CET) 2013 were announced here on Tuesday May 28.
The results were declared by minister for higher education R V Deshpande in the evening.

The top three ranks in medical/dental were bagged by Hemanth Amardeep Santur, Medha Narayan Rao from Expert PU College, Mangalore, and Vivek B Maleyoor, respectively.
In engineering, K E Prajwal, Suchet K Kuncham and S H Manu stood on the top of the list, in that order.
The top three ranks in architecture went to Sainetra Ramesh, D Krishna and Ashwin Abraham Mukram.
Varun Venkatesh (med-6), Ashish K (med-7), Sayeeksha Kotekar (med-8), Sahan S Alva (engg-4), all from Expert PU College, are among the other rank holders from Mangalore.
Altogether, around 1.39 lac students answered the CET.
The fees of students bagging the top five ranks in PCM and PCB will be reimbursed by the Karnataka Examination Authority, while those among the first 10 ranks will be given scholarships.
Students from urban areas fared better than their counterparts from the rural areas, Deshpande said.
There are a total of 87,490 engineering seats and 5,298 seats for MBBS in the state. Students can check their results by logging on to http://karresults.nic.in.
