Konkani Bhavan
The KCA Mathikere has the rare distinction of being the first Konkani Catholic Association in Bangalore to have its own building, Konkan Bhavan, the construction of which was started in 1979. The first phase of the building project was declared open in 1981 and the entire two-story structure was completed 1989.
The Konkan Bhavan has a spacious hall with a seating capacity for accommodating 150 persons and provides hostel facilities to youngsters. Over 1,000 persons have benefitted from the hostel accommodation provided by Konkan Bhavan over the years.
The KCA Mathikere has over 600 life members on its rolls, though the actual number of active members comprising persons residing in Bangalore is small, and the members of the association are spread throughout the world.
The KCA Mathikere has helped a large number of students through its Education Fund and also deserving persons through its Medical Assistance Fund.
