Udupi, Mar 4: “Youth should work towards preventing violence taking place in the society,” said writer Vaidehi.
She spoke after inaugurating ‘Namma Angadi’, a three-day sale-cum-exhibition hosted by Manipal Institute of Communication in association with Namma Bhoomi.
"Atrocities on women in urban areas is rising. Students should create awareness and use photography as a medium to convey such messages to the society," she said.
Dr M V Kamath, honorary director of Manipal Institute of Communication, M M Ganapathi and Shivanand of Namma Bhoomi, H S Shuba were present on the occasion.
Varadesh Hiregange, director of Manipal Institute of Communication welcomed the guests.
