Mangalore, Feb 10: The members of Sunni Students Federation (SSF) organized a massive Milad rally ‘Ilal Habeeb’ and public meeting to mark the birth month of Prophet Mohammad in the city on Saturday February 9.
The Milad rally was taken from Jyoti circle to Nehru Maidan via Hampankatta, culminating with a stage programme.
SSF South India president M S M Abdul Rasheed Zaini Sakhafi addressed the gathering and said that the solution for various problems faced by society can be found in the teachings of the Prophet.
"Prophet Mohammed's message is not restricted to a particular religion or subject, but is meant for all. He gave equal importance to religious and social issues," he said.
Religious scholar C P M Atakoya Tangal flagged off the programme. SSF district president Ismail Sa'adi Urmane presided over the function.
Leaders J M Kamil Muhammad Kamil Sakhafi, Abu Sufiyan Madani, Umar Sakhafi, Meeran Saheb Kadaba, Ashraf Sa'adi, Ismail Sa'adi Kinya, Abdul Hamid Bajpe, and Umar Suleiman Sakhafi were present on the occassion.
During the rally Madrasa students who present the best performances were given prizes.
SSF leader Ismail Master welcomed. Sirajuddin Sakhaphi delivered the vote of thanks. Yaakub Saadi compered the programme.
