Mangalore: Janet Lobo Awarded PhD

Mangalore, Jan 14: Janet Dotty Lobo, librarian at Fr Muller Charitable Instituitions has been awarded a PhD in library and information science from Mangalore University.

Her thesis entitled as 'consortia approach for content sharing using HELINET databases to the health science libraries in Dakshina Kannada: a case study'. 

She procurred her thesis under the guidance of Mangalore University librarian Dr M K Bhandi.

She has worked at the St Aloysius College library from June 1991 to March 1997 and from April 1997 onwards she has been working at Fr Muller Charitable Institutes knowledge centre (central library) as a librarian.

She also is the organising secretary for the fifth annnual conference of Karnataka health sciences library association (KHSLA) 2013.
