Mangalore, Dec 30: Thingale Vikramarjuna, a well-known figure in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been appointed as the chairman of Karnataka Coastal Development Authority (CDA), stated a press release.
According to the notification issued, Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde will assume charge as the chairman in Mangalore office at 10.30 am on December 31.
The post remained vacant after B Nagaraj Shetty quit BJP abruptly this year.
ThingaleVikramarjuna Hegde is a farmer by birth and has been involved in rendering service to the people. His father Thingale Ravindra Hegde is a literrateur and thinker. About 51 years ago, Thingale started a literary convention in Garodi thereby spreading the fragrance of literature in villages. Vikramarjuna later continued the work started by his father.
Thingale Vikramarjuna Hegde is also the chief secretary of district BJP.
