Kundapur, Dec 26: CPI (M) organized a vehicle jatha from Byndoor to Kundapur to create awareness against ‘Made Snana’ and discrimination in mass feeding on Monday December 24.

Speaking after flagging off the jatha, CPI (M) district secretary K Shankar said that the discrimination in mass feeding along with caste discrimination has been highly followed in Udupi Shree Krishna Mutt. A state level protest had been organized by the CPI (M) during the Republic day previous year.

The Karnataka High Court has already passed an order in this regard but it is still being practiced.

The CPI (M) state committee has planned to organize a major protest and mass convention in this regard in Udupi on Thursday December 27. Leaders and volunteers of CPI (M) from different parts of the state will participate in this protest, he added.

JD(S) leader Bhoja Shetty, supporting the CPI (M) protest, appealed the government to lawfully bring an end to such discriminations.

Venkatesh Koni proposed the vote of thanks.

All right thinking people should join this moment. Brahmins fooled the innocent people from centuries. we are educated now, hence should protest made snana and pankthi beda vehemently. I would like to contribute for this great moment. It is against humanity. Hence it should be stopped at all costs. I thank the organizers profoundly. In fact, I cant join directly as I am a senior officer in govt. service. However, I will support this cause wholeheartedly. In fact all right thinking educated human being should oppose such evil practice.
