Mangalore, Dec 22: St Joseph Engineering College held its graduation day ceremony of English Language Course for the students of Timor Leste in the Bethania Hall on Thursday December 20.
The solemn ceremony started with prayer song. Fr Joseph Lobo, director SJEC, welcomed the dignitaries and the gathering.
Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, bishop of Mangalore and the president of SJEC presided over the function and honoured the students of Timor Leste with graduation certificates.
Speaking on this occasion, Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, congratulated all the students for successfully completing English language course. He also stressed on achieving dreams and taking highest position in their country.
Fr Joseph Lobo, director SJEC, Fr Rohith D’Costa and Fr Ajith Menezes, assistant directors, Dr Joseph Gonsalvis, principal, Dr Rio D’Souza, vice principal were present on the dais.
The head of the department, faculty and invitees were also present on the occasion.
Sunitha Pereira, course coordinator, presented the report of the course.
Sunitha D’Souza, lecturer English department, proposed the vote of thanks.
The programme came to an end with national anthem of Timor as well as India.
