Mangalore, Dec 11: “Due to formation of groups among JD(S) by M B Sadhashiv and for not letting us work efficiently in the party, we have decided to quit the party”, said Yogesh Shetty Jeppu, vice president of state JD(S) student cell.
He addressed the media at a press meet held at press club on Tuesday December 11.
Yogesh Shetty said that he along with J Ibrahim, district vice president of JD(S), Jyothika Jain, district chief secretary, Siraj Deralakatte, district president of JD(S) student cell and Sala Uddin Ayub, association secretary, Ullal have decided to quit the party.
Shetty said that with due respect to Amarnath Shetty and Kumaraswamy, they are leaving the party.”So far we worked efficiently for the betterment of the party, but after MB Sadhashiv became president, there have been several groups in the party. He is doing party works as per his wish. Any person who raises voice against him is neglected in the party”, he said.
More than 500 members will resign in the coming days, he added.
The resignation letter will be faxed to Kumaraswamy, Devegowda and M B Sadhashiv, he said and added that the matter will also be discussed with Kumaraswamy.
“We do not want any post in the party, we only want to work for the party”, they said.
J Ibrahim, district vice president of JDS, Jyothika Jain, district chief secretary, Siraj Deralakatte, District president of JDS student cell and Sala Uddin Ayub, association secretary, Ullal among others were present.
