Kundapur, Dec 10: The renovated Christ King Church, Trasi, here was inaugurated by Bishop Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo of Udupi diocese on Sunday December 9 at 4.30 pm.

On this special occasion, the bishop was welcomed by the parish priest of the church Fr Anil Cornelio, vice-president Robert Olivera, secretary Dolphy Fernandes, and the other parishioners. 

The bishop officially inaugurated and blessed the Church, Alter, Holy Cross, Gospel reading stand, and tabernacle.

During the Holy Mass he gave the message, “Church is God’s home, Church is prayer for home and Church is way to heaven”. He appealed everyone to keep deep faith in God.

Bishop offered Mass along with Episcopal vicar Baptist Menezes, Fr  Anand Noronha, Don Bosco, Fr Leo Don Bosco, Fr Michel John.

After the mass, bishop inaugurated the first unit of the Udupi diocese St Vincent De Paul, Youth Sammelan Trasi.

Bishop Gerald Isaac lobo was felicitated by parish priest Anil Carnelio of Trasi Church.  Fr Anil Carnelio was also felicitated on the occasion.

Fr Sunil Vegas, parish priest of Tallur Church compered the programme while Fr Anil Carnelio delivered the vote of thanks.
