Udupi: 14 Injured as Bus from Mangalore Topples at Katapady

Udupi, Nov 3: Fourteen persons were injured when a service bus plying from Mangalore to Udupi toppled near Katapady here on Saturday November 3.
The incident took place on national highway 66 when the bus driver lost control while trying to avoid hitting a car approaching from the front, said a the eye witness.
The impact of the incident was such that more than 14 persons were injured.
The injured have been identified as Kiran Alva, Sukanya, Lavita Kotian, Vishwanatha, Uma Subramanya, Rajesh, Suguna, Kalavathi Bangera, Shameem Ahmed, Ramachandra Prabhu, Sheshagiri, Mohandas Kini, Jagadish Ballal, Prajna Karkera.
They have been admitted to various hospitals in Udupi and Manipal.
Kapu police have registered a case.
