Mangaluru, Jan 24: The Nitte Institute of Professionals (NIPE), in collaboration with Global Gyan Academy, Mangalore City Police, and City Center Mangalore, is proud to announce an impactful event aimed at raising awareness about substance abuse. This event is generously supported by Lion’s Club Mangalore and Shaswath Seva Foundation.

Aim of the event: The primary objective of this event is to educate the public about the dangers of substance abuse, promote preventive measures, and inspire healthier lifestyle choices through creative and interactive activities.

Event details:

Date: January 25
Time: 4:00 pm onwards
Venue: City Center, Mangalore

Highlights of the event:

1. Dance drama: A compelling performance portraying the harsh realities of substance abuse and its consequences, aimed at educating and inspiring the audience.

2. Competitions: Engaging activities designed to foster creativity and critical thinking while highlighting the importance of substance abuse awareness:

o Mind Maze (quiz): A thrilling test of general knowledge and current affairs in a competitive team format.
o Turn Coat competition: A debate where participants showcase their ability to argue both for and against a topic, developing public speaking and critical thinking skills.
o Slogan Making competition: A creative platform for individuals to express impactful messages in just 15 words.

Schedule:

4:00 pm: Dance drama (15 minutes)

4:10 pm: Speeches by chief guests (20 minutes)

4:35 pm: Turncoat round 1 & Slogan competition (5 minutes each)

4:55 pm: Quiz round 1 (10 minutes)

5:05 pm: Turncoat round 2 (5 minutes each)

5:25 pm: Quiz round 2 (10 minutes)

5:45 pm: Closing ceremony
