Mumbai, Nov 2 (IANS): Ashish kumar Chauhan has been appointed the managing director and chief executive officer of the Bombay Stock Exchange.
An alumnus of IIT Mumbai and IIM Calcutta, Chauhan joined the BSE in 2009 and was functioning as its interim CEO for the past six months.
During his earlier stint, Chauhan is credited with having helped the (then) CEO bring about significant changes in the BSE, especially pertaining to technology upgradation, contributing to regulatory issues and working closely with the team to develop innovative products.
Earlier, he was president and group chief information officer of Reliance Industries.
