Mangalore: Fight Breaks out Among Jail Inmates, Jailer Thrashed

Mangalore, Oct 24: A group of inmates at district jail attacked a jailer here on Monday October 22.

As per the information received, the incident took place when one of the jailers tried to stop a fight which arose among inmates. The angered inmates collectively locked the jailer in a room and allegedly thrashed him.

When contacted, district jail officials declined to provide any information pertaining to the incident and even denied that the incident had occurred.

No case has been registered at Barke police station.

Police officials said that they have not received any complaint from district jail officials.
