Yangon, Oct 23 (IANS): Entrepreneurs from India and Myanmar will meet here next week to discuss ways to promote bilateral trade.
Monday's meeting is aimed at promoting bilateral trade and investment, the Myanmar Federation of Chambers and Commerce Industry (UMFCCI) said.
Both sides were expected to discuss areas such as agriculture, timber, pharmaceuticals, tourism, textile, automobile and livestock, Xinhua reported Tuesday.
According to Myanmar's official figures, Myanmar-India trade touched $426 million in the first four months (April-July) of 2012-13 fiscal.
Myanmar's exports to India amounted to $329 million while imports from India was valued at nearly $97 million.
