Kundapur, Oct 20: Shobha Karandlaje, energy minister visited Maranakatte Sri Brahmalingeshwari temple on Friday October 19.
As part of Navarathri, Karandlaje had a busy schedule visiting various temples. She reached Maranakatte temple around 6:30 pm after visiting Sringeri Sharadha Devi temple and then Kollur Mookambika temple.
She offered a special puja at the temple which was performed by purohit Nageshwar and promised to visit again if her vows are fulfilled.
Shobha was welcomed by C Surendra Shetty, gram panchayat president.
She refused to address anything about politics and said that she was on a holy trip. As the road leadign to the temple was rough and not maintained, she asked people to submit a memorandum for the concerned matter.
After offering puja at the temple, Shobha left to Bangalore.
Seetharam Shetty, administrative head of the temple, K Narayan Shetty, treasurer, Chandrashekar Shetty Chitoor, director of TAPCMSN, Sarvottam Shetty, Manjayya Shetty, Ramachandra Manja, H Simhadevappa, CEO of MESCOM among others were present.
