Udupi, Oct 19: Well known businessmen, veteran social worker, RSS activist, Vishwa Hindu Parishad member and Shirva Ganeshostava Samithi member Belle Kamalaksha Shenoy passed away on Thursday October 18.

It is learnt that few days back Shenoy sustained head injuries and was unconscious after he met with an accident. He was immediately shifted to Udupi hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

He worked for the society. He believed that service to the society is service to god.

Shenoy served all the sections of the society. He would provide grocery items to the unemployed youths to run business in rural areas and support them. He never worked for publicity, and was known as Kamalakshana in the locality. He also worked as circulator and promoter of Hosadigantha daily newspaper.

His unexpected death is a great loss to the society, especially to the people of Shirva, Kattapadi and Belle.

He is survived by his wife Vanitha shenoy, two sons and a daughter.

Representatives of various organizations and leaders offered condolences.
