Mangalore, Sep 25: "Its my good fortune that I happened to visit this Garodi, a divine temple of the true legends, Koti-Chennaya," said former chief minister and JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy.
He was speaking on the occasion of his visit to the Garodi Sri Brahma Baiderkala Temple, Kankanady on Monday September 24 at 6:30 pm. He was accompanied by the JD(S) youth president, Madhu Bangarappa, MLA, Zameer Ahmed Khan, Jamaluddin and others.
Kumaraswamy said that JD(S) has been undertaking a number of works irrespective of religion, caste and creed. The earlier JD(S) government had done several appreciable works and it will continue the same in the near future, he said.
Madhu Bangarappa said that his dad Bangarappa had high concerns towards the downtrodden. "Many organizations are misguiding our youths in the wrong path, which needs to be immediately stopped," he said, adding that Kumaraswamy was the only person who held his hands and brought him up.
"Bangarappa’s soul will rest in peace if all the community members support JD(S) and bring it back to power," he said.
Earlier, Kumaraswamy was given a grand welcome by temple president Chittaranjan, trustees, members and other well-wishers. A special puja was offered in the temple and the prasadam was also handed over to Kumaraswamy and Madhu Bangarappa.
The function was arranged in the Deyi Baidethi Chawadi in the temple premises. Zameer Ahmed Khan, Zamaluddin, Nagaraj Shetty,Vasanth poojary, Bairegowda, Devi prasad Shetty, K Chittaranjan and others were present on the dais.
The programme was compered by Dinesh Anchan.
A large number of JD(S) members and supporter were present.
