Mangalore, Sep 24: Lifeguards of Panambur beach saved three boys from drowning in the sea early on Sunday September 23.
Shahrukh, Yasser and Naveen, all from SG Road, Bangalore had come to the beach along with another friend for a dip. As there were no high waves the trio moved further into deep waters and were caught in a strong current. The lifeguards spotted the trio and rescued them from drowning.
Despite the caution boards and warnings given by lifeguards, the negligence of the tourists is the main reason behind such incidents, said a lifeguard.
