Bantwal, Sep 2: The general meeting of Bantwal municipality was held on Saturday September 1.
In the meeting, it was decided that Narikombu and Amtady villages which were under the planning authority will now be brought under municipality limits.
The decision was taken after an appeal was put forward by the city planning commission.
The salary of workers under municipality limits was also increased by Rs 1,000. Members also asked the officials to recover money from the past president based on reports.
Municipality president Dinesh Bhandary presided over the meeting. Members also asked the officials concerned to re-lay the BC Road-Kadoor national highway within a week.
The president along with the members decided to provide a relief of Rs 30,000 to the family that lost two youngsters to rat fever recently.
Vasanthi Gangadhar, standing committee president, R V Jathanna shared the dais.
Govind Prabhu, Devdas Shetty, Gopal Suvarna, Srinivas Malli, Bhaskar Tailor, Suresh Kulal, Swarnalatha Malli, Riyaz Hussain, Mohammad Nandarabettu, Mohammad Sharif, Ramakrishna Alva, Maalathi Ganesh, Aminabhishek among others were present.
