Qatar, Aug 4: Karnataka Muslim Cultural Association held their annual Iftar for the community members on July 27 at Mazza restaurant.
Around 250 members and families along with their children attended the Iftar program. This was hailed as one of the highest members’ participation by way of attendance.
Ifthiqab Alam opened the program at 5:30pm inviting Janab Hasif Ismail Sharief to recite the verses from Holy Quran followed by the president of KMCA Janab Saeed Ahmed Assadi to declare the program open.
Saeed Assadi, gave a report of the KMCA activities and its future plans and urged members to render their full support for the upcoming events.
As a part of creating a platform for other organizations of Karnataka to introduce their activities in Qatar and back home, the President invited the representatives from these Organization’s to present their report and appeal to the audience.
Following are the representatives who spoke on behalf of their organizations. Janab Mohsin Sikandar (Treasurer) – Kundapur Taluk Welfare Association, Janab Ibraiz Khan/ Janab Javed Sharief (President-Qatar) Maymar Charitable Trust Bangalore, Janab Ayyub (Head of Qatar) – Hidayah Foundation Charitable Organization.
After the above presentation, the president invited Janab Maulana Irshadullah Saheb to give a lecture on Islamic Values and significance of the month of Ramadan and importance of reading Quran.
Meanwhile the islamic quiz questioners circulated to all the members to answer and towards the end the winners were recognized after the lecture.
Group supplication was made prior to Iftar break at 6:20pm. The dinner was served after the Prayers and the program concluded at 8:00pm.
Around 165 men, 70 women and around 30 children attended the program. The children were given gifts as a token of appreciation by the KMCA organising committee.
The Heads of associations of other Karnataka and Qatar organizations attended the KMCA Iftar. Kareen Abdulla the president of ICBF, Veerabadra Mannangi – president of Karnataka Sanga along with other head of KSQ and representatives of Tulu Koota attended.
The senior members of KMCA appreciated the efforts of president Saeed Assadi for conducting the event successfully with such large number by the members and their families. Many new members enrolled during this event which is the real success as per the president Ahmed Saeed Assadi.
