Seven Killed in UP bus-car Smash


Lucknow, Jul 9 (IANS): Seven people, including three women and a child, were killed when a car they were in rammed into a state transport bus in Muzaffarnagar Monday morning, police said.

Muzaffarnagar is 500 km from here.

The Maruti car was passing over Dhola bridge, when a state transport bus coming from the opposite direction collided head on, killing the passengers in the car.

All the seven people belonged to Kurwalia village and were headed for a hospital, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Virendra Bahadur Singh told IANS.

Police are on a lookout for the bus driver, who is reportedly absconding.
