Sr Maria Naveena elected provincial superior of Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province

Mangaluru, Jan 25: The sisters of the Apostolic Carmel, Karnataka Province, gathered in prayer at St Ann’s Convent Chapel on Saturday, January 25, to invoke the Holy Spirit during a Eucharistic celebration led by Rt. Rev. Peter Paul Saldanha, Bishop of Mangalore.

The event marked the beginning of the provincial chapter, where Sr Maria Naveena AC was elected as the new provincial superior for a triennial term.

The election was overseen by superior general Sr Maria Nirmalini AC. In addition to Sr Maria Naveena, the newly elected councillors are Sr Rose Agnes, Sr Maria Reethika, Sr Maria Sudeepa, and Sr M Rosevera. Sr Marina D’Cunha will take on the role of provincial bursar.

The newly elected team is set to begin their duties on April 27, 2025.
