New Delhi, July 6 (IBNS): Arrested Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative Abu Jundal has said the cartridges for carrying out attacks in Mumbai in 2008 were provided to the terrorists by an Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) operative, media reports said on Friday.

According to reports, Jundal claimed that a man named Major Sameer Ali of the ISI visited Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) to give  two cartons of AK-47 bullets to the terrorists who attacked Mumbai in 2008.

The arrested key plotter of the 2008 Mumbai attacks earlier said Sameer visited the control room in Karachi during the attacks in the Indian financial capital.

He reportedly said that Sameer allegedly gave orders to LeT's 26/11 'master-mind' Zaki-ur Rehman Lakhvi.

Jundal had earlier confessed of being among the six men tasked with guiding the ten Pakistani terrorists during the three-day-attack on Mumbai.

The disclosure is being seen in India another damning testimony of the role played by elements of Pakistani administration in the 2008 strike that killed 166 people and wounded more than 300, bolstering similar statements made by David Coleman Headley and Ajmal Kasab.

The Tis Hazari Court on Thursday granted a 15-day custody of Jundal to the Delhi Police.

The Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) operative’s custody was also been sought by several other agencies including Mumbai's crime branch, the Anti Terrorism Squads of Maharashtra and Pune, the Gujarat and the West Bengal police along with the National Investigating Agency (NIA).

Sayeed Zabiuddin Ansari, also known as Abu Hamza and Abu Jundal, who has confessed to be among the six men tasked with guiding the ten Pakistani terrorists during the three-day-attack on Mumbai, was arrested at Delhi airport on June 21 on his arrival from Saudi Arabia.
