Mangalore, Jul 4: To remember the contributions of its founder the late Rev Dr C D Jathanna on his birthday, the Karnataka Christian Education Society (KACES) will celebrate KACES Day at Bishop Jathanna Auditorium, Balmatta here on Friday July 6 at 4.30 pm, informed its treasurer Rev Dr D R Sadananda at a press meet here on Wednesday July 4.
Renowned Kannada writer Na D’Souza will be the chief guest and will unveil the statue of Rev Hermann Moegling, the founder principal of the Karnataka Theological College, regarded as the father of Kannada journalism. P B Harish Rai, president of DKWJU will be the guest of honour.
On the occasion H N Venkatesh Prasanna, city crime branch inspector will be felicitated for being the first researcher of the Karnataka Theological Research Institute to be conferred PhD for his research titled ‘Swatantra Poorva Karnatakadalli Police Vyavasthe’ by the Kannada Hampi University.
Rev Dr H R Cabral, principal, KTC and secretary, KACES will preside over the programme.
