Punjab Asks all Officers to File Property Returns


Chandigarh, Jul 4 (IANS): The Punjab government has directed all its officers to submit their property returns by July 31 this year, a state government spokesman said here Wednesday.

He said it was decided to make the filing of property returns by Group A and B officers compulsory under Rule 18 of the Punjab State Employees Conduct Rules, 1966.

Officials working with ministers and senior officers have also been directed to submit their property returns by July 31, he added.

Sources in the state government said that the deadline of submitting property returns was May 31 earlier, but many officers had failed to submit their returns.
