New Delhi, Jul 4 (IANS): After braving a series of searing days, Delhi woke up to a breezy morning Wednesday with the minimum temperature slipped to 29.2 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average.
The met department forecast light rains towards afternoon in parts of the city.

"The skies will mainly remain clear till afternoon. It is likely to turn partly cloudy later in the day with possibility of light thundershowers," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
"This rain will decide the arrival of pre-monsoon showers in the capital," the official added.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures Wednesday will hover around 38-28 degrees Celsius, respectively."
The maximum temperature recorded Tuesday was 40.7 degrees Celsius, five notches above average for the season.
Although some respite can be expected from the scorching heat, muggy conditions may continue for some more days due to high humidity, the official added.
