Beltangady: Court Grants Bail to Vittal Malekudiya

Daijiworld Media Network - Beltangady

Beltangady, Jul 3: The first class court on Tuesday July 3 granted bail to Mangalore University student Vittal Malekudiya, who was arrested for his alleged links with Naxals earlier this March.

His interim bail had been earlier rejected by the high court, which then directed the local court to look into his plea.

Vittal is accused of having provided food and shelter to the Naxals and is also said to have attended a 2-week long Naxal training camp. Pamphlets relating to Naxal activities and other related materials had been found in Vittal’s room. Vittal is also facing allegations relating to anti-social crimes.

With the bail being granted, Vittal may walk out of the jail on Wednesday July 4.

Dear ISMAIL K PERINJE, PERINJE-YANBU/KSA Hon Court has not acquitted him of the charges made against him .Court has just given the Bail and hence your argument for who will compensate doesn't stand .For your information even in prison they will be given some job and money earned will be given to them with interest at the end of Jail term .This is all Legal process in Indian constitution . But I have all sympathies for him he may be innocent but we should give free hand to the Courts to decide on that
