Udupi, Jul 1: “Walk Beside Elders”, a unique programme was organized by KASAPA (Kannada Sahithya Parishat) to honour A S N Hebbar at his residence 'Nudi' in Kundapur here on Saturday June 30.
Hebbar was honoured by Surendra Adiga at the ceremony held to mark Press Day, organized under the joint aegis of Patrakartara Vedike, www.kundapra.com, and Shree School of Journalism, Moodbidri.
"It is a great honour for a journalist to be honoured by other journalists. The moments spent amidst them is more precious than being honoured," said Hebbar.
Shekar Ajekar, district president said the journalists should be honoured for their work and the differences between various journalism associations should be reduced.
Sunil Baindoor, editor of Kundapur.com welcomed the gathering.
Borgalgudde Manjunath from MGM College proposed the vote of thanks.
John D’Souza, Santhosh Kone, Uday Achaar, US Shenoy, Shivananda Karanth, Sudha Hebbar, Soumyashree Ajekar among others were present.
