Mangalore, Jun 25: A two-day workshop on “Effective Teaching” for college lecturers jointly organized by Besant Womens College, and Sadhana Academy, a skill development and consultancy firm, here was inaugurated on Saturday June 23 by professor Narendra L Nayak, chairman of Expert Educational and Charitable Foundation.
In his inaugural address, he stressed the need of training to the college teachers and said that excellence is a never ending journey to a teacher.
Dr Shripathi Rao, retired chemistry professor, St Aloysius College and correspondent of Vikas PU College delivered the keynote address. Prof Rolphie Mascarenhas, director, Kanachur Academy of General Education was the guest of honour.
Dr Manjula K T, principal of Besant Womens College presided over the function. In her presidential remarks she said that a lecturer has the responsibility of formation of a good human being.
The workshop focused towards the entry level lecturers. 76 college lectures from 30 colleges participated in the workshop.
Surfraz Hasim welcomed the guests and participants.
Chandrashekhar Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
