Pakistani Sailor Rescued Off Goa Coast

Panaji, Jun 22: Indian Coast Guard today rescued a Pakistani sailor, who had fallen ill off Goa coast on the Indonesia-bound ship, MV Sea Pearl.

The ICG helicopter went to the rescue of Shakeel Ahmed Jaitapkar, after it was reported that he was profusely bleeding through nose off Goa coast.

The ICG spokesman said that the Pakistani national is now being treated in a facility in Goa.

The vessel was about 65 to 70 nautical miles from Goa on passage from Sohar- Oman to Indonesia via Karachi and Columbo, he said.
