Fujairah, Jun 11: A two-day free blood sugar and blood pressure checkup camp for the walk-in customers of K M Trading was organized recently by GMC Hospital, here.
As per the database of GMC Hospital it is known that almost half of the population is unaware of the fact that they are victim of diabetes. Therefore, the camp was organized to create awareness about the prevalence of diabetes and preventive measures to stay away from the life threatening diseases.
A total of 300 patients registered for the checkup, out of which 40 were advised for follow up. General hospital flyers on the promotional offers on pediatric and gynaec treatment, Zo & Mo Opticals were distributed to all the patients and visitors.
With this tremendous success and endearing response from the visiting patients GMC Hospital wishes to conduct more such camps to create awareness and help serve the community in a better and healthier manner. This human endeavor of GMC Hospital was well received and appreciated both by the patients and the managements of K M Trading and GMC Hospital.
The above health checkup camp is one of the many free social events organized by GMC Hospital throughout the year.
