Mangalore, Jun 5: Congress party district secretary and Ullal town municipal council member Farooq Ullal has been chosen as the party spokesperson for Dakshina Kannada district, stated press release.

Farooq Ullal has a good record as a party worker, speaker, leader and also a writer. MLA U T Kadar and Vasanth Bangera recommended him to district president B Ramanath Rai for the post , the released explained.

Prior to his appointment, he also served as in-charge of Mulky, Panemangalore, and Beltangady block Congress.

He was also the coordinator of KPCC.
