Kasargod: Police Arrests 4 for Hunting Wild Animals

Kasargod, Jun 1: Kumbla police arrested four persons including a local gram panchayat member who were returning in their car after hunting for wild animals on Thursday May 31.
 
The arrested have been identified as Mangalpady gram panchayat member and Muslim League activist 29-year-old Mohammed Farouq, his brother 31-year-old Abdul Jaleel, 33-year-old Mohammed Hasainar, and 30-year-old Ashraf Moosa, a resident of Munir Quarters, R S Road, Uppala.
 
The police seized the car owned by Farouq and recovered hunted rabbits and porcupines, and a licensed gun.
 
Kumbla police will present the accused before the judge on Thursday evening. The case has been transferred to the district forest department.
