Udupi, May 31: Shashanka S Rao created a record in Little Rock Indian School, Brahmavar scoring 98% marks in the class XII exams conducted by CBSE this year. He scored 100 marks in Maths, 99 in physics, and 98 each in chemistry and biology.
Eric Clive R with 96.4% scored the highest marks in the computer science combination.
Ananthakrishnan Balakrishnan (96.8%), Prabha Venkatesh Thirthahalli (96%) and Elaine Petricia K (95.6%) are the other top-scorers of Little Rock.
The school with 249 students in class X and 53 students in class XII recorded 100% pass in both exams. With the abolition of marks in class X Exams, the only distinguishing mark of a school is the number of students who get 10 CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average), the highest possible score. As many as 33 students have scored 10 points and another 94 students 9 points and above.
The management of Little Rock has congratulated the students and the teachers for making these remarkable results possible.
“Once again we are convinced that the quality of teachers and the school climate are the most decisive factors that contribute to student achievement”, said professor Mathew C Ninan, the principal of Little Rock.
