M'lore: St Aloysius College Announces Undergraduate Results, Rank Holders

Mangalore, May18: The results of under graduate degree programme, semester-second, fourth, and sixth under autonomous structure have been announced, today on Friday May 18.

The examinations were conducted from April 11, 2012 to May 2, 2012.


BA: Afshana Khathun, Adeesh A


BBM: Nilushad Nausheen Jaffer, Radhiya Arif


BBM: Glen Edric DSouza, Renita Flora DCunha


BCA: Sophia Jowi Maria Saldanha, Pratheeksha Pai Maroor, Elfrieda Maria Rosario


BCom: Sumana S, Susan Prateeksha Samuel, Loveeta Carol Pais


BCom: Anjali D Nayak, Jeslyn Marina DSouza, Joyce Hyneesha DSouza


BSc - Physical Science: Anirudh Chanda, Rekha Diana Pais, Ranjana Madhystha


BSc - Biological Science: Ganesh Pai B, Sangeetha Karanth, Swati S Rao


BSW: Shruthi P K

The names of the rank holders of different streams are as follows: Afshana Khathun and Adeesh A have bagged the first and second rank in BA. Shruthi PK, Rekha Diana Pais and Ranjana Madhystha have got the top most three places in B. Sc (physical science) respectively. Ganesh Pai B, Sangeetha Karanth and Swati S Rao are on the first, second and third rank in B Sc (Biological science). Sumana S, Susan Prateeksha Samuel, and Loveeta Carol Pais are the three top ranked students in B. Com. Nilushad Nausheen Jaffer, Radhiya Arif and Glen Edric D'Souza are the three rank holders respectively in BBM and Sophia Jowi Maria Saldanha, Pratheeksha Pai Maroor and Elfrieda Maria Rosario have first, second and third rank in BCA. 

In all, 3258 students had appeared for the examination. The valuation process along with the announcement of the results have been completed within 15 days, informed the college authorities.

    15 days and all done says the college authorities, that itself is very scarry, because, lot of irregularites have taken place in the past and no question of revaluation, as they dont bother, even a class test result drags for months so please every that glitters is not gold

    St. Aloysius College and the Pr-University College have maintained their standards well under the able leadership of Father Swebert at the College level and John D'Silva at the level of pre-university. It is gratifying to see that St. Aloysius which started with a total student strength of forty over one hundred-thirty years ago has now a total student population of over eleven thousand. The pre-University division alone has over four thousand students perhaps the largest number in the State. John D'Silva has done a great job under difficult circumstances. Being an old student myself I hold St. Aloysius in highest esteem and respect the memory of past Jesuits of sacred memory.
