Puttur, May 16: “Children’s meets are helpful in exposing the inherent talent among children. It will strengthen their mental agility and also develop good character,” said Shobha Nagaraj, head teacher, Sudhana Residential School.
She was the chief guest speaking at the inaugural ceremony of ‘Kila Kila–2012’, the one-day children’s meet held at Rotary G L auditorium on Tuesday May 15. It was organized by Bhavana Kala Arts, Bolwar, and Rotaract Club.
Jayaprakash, a Class VII student of Little Flower School, inaugurated the children’s meet on Tuesday morning.
Rotary Club speaker Sridar Acharya and resource persons Vittal Nayak and Rohini Raghav Achar were present on the dais.
Over 130 students attended the children’s meet on the occasion.
Bhavana Kala Arts proprietor Vignesh Vishwakarma welcomed the gathering. Rotaract Club vice-president Harish Shanti proposed the vote of thanks. Mounesh Vishwakarma and Anusuya compered the programme.
‘Madimena…?’ Tulu comedy play was staged by the artistes of Bhavana Kala Arts as part of the entertainment programme.
