Udupi: Bishop Aloysius Paul Inaugurates Adoration Chapel at Barkur

Mangalore, May 16: The newly built Adoration Chapel at the premises of the church of St Peter, Barkur, was inaugurated and blessed by Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza, Bishop of Mangalore recently.

This chapel is sponsored by Herbert, Aloysius, Wilfred, Victor, Cyril, Denis, Lilly and Gloria of Pakshikere Parish in the memory of their parents late Lawrence and Alice D’Souza on the occasion of their centenary jubilee.

The above chapel was brought up with the cost of Rs 12 Lakhs. This Chapel was designed and executed by Danny Pinto, lecturer in MIT, Manipal, along with his wife Tina Pinto who is a famous designer and constructor of many religious structures.

Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore Diocese was welcomed by the parish priest Fr Alban D’Souza and parish pastor council members.

Parish priest Fr Alban D’Souza proposed the vote of thanks.
