DCP Seeks Action Against Venkatesh Prasad and Wife

Bangalore. May 8 (PTI): A top police official has sought action against former cricketer Venkatesh Prasad and his wife for allegedly committing a "security breach" at the Chinnaswamy stadium after the IPL match between Deccan Chargers and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central Division) Ravikante Gowda said that Prasad's wife, Jayanti, refused to listen when he intervened after she had a heated argument with an ASI who asked her and two others, standing near the players' zone after the match, to vacate the place.

The Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) found two women, including Jayanti, and an elderly man standing near the players' zone and asked them to move away as they were not supposed to be standing there and were committing a security breach, he said.

Jayanti said she would call her husband and refused to move and despite his intervention she did not listen, Gowda said.

"Meanwhile Venkatesh Prasad came out and after arguing with the ASI, he took all of them inside the players' zone, which is a clear breach of security," he said.

Gowda said that he would be sending the ASI's report as well as his take on the incident to Police Commissioner Jyothi Prakash Mirji and also the organisers for them "to take appropriate action against both Jayanthi Prasad and her husband".

Complete nonsense, the above mentioned may have been the culprits. but they may have been agitated due to highhandedness of the cops. Cops do everything by the books and rules , would they have done the hullabaloo if Politicians, Babus and their kith and kin had been in the place of Prasad family. Just remember Bangalore Mayors comments and actions regarding IPL matches in Bangalore

Absurd! This has its roots in the ongoing tussle between KCA and BBMC. KCA's decision not to issue VVIP passes for councilors has surely not gone well with the 'mari fudaris' and police who remain 'YOURS SINCERELY' to these leaders. Why no one has raised a similar security breach against Blossom Fernandes who stands by Oscar wherever he goes? Whether it is VIP or VVIP slot, you can find her with Oscar. Isn't she causing any security breach Mr DCP (Directed & Controlled by Politicians), ACP (Always Committed to Politicians)? If Prasad couple breached the rule, punish them but use the same yardstick to politicians and 'theirs only' too. Till KCA issued countless VVIP pass for BBMP councilors for cricket matches at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, Prasad couple, Kumble couple, Dravid & fly, Sri & fly could breach anything and enter anywhere. There wasn't any issue. But the moment passes are stopped, the issue of security comes in, BBMC gets enlightened regarding collecting taxes from KCA. They know with Kumble and Co at the helm of KCA, politicians and their chelas will hardly have any say in KCA matters in the future. So using these '3-coin' blackmail tactics...
